STEP 1: Download CodeSniffer WordPress Standards
STEP 2: Unpack/Unzip the downloaded achieve and locate the WordPress folder in it.
STEP 3: Make sure the WordPress folder contains
STEP 4: Navigate to PHPStorm settings via FILE->Settings or rather press CTRL + ALT + S
STEP 5: Double click on Editor and click on Inspections
STEP 6: Click on PHP Code Sniffer Validation and make sure it’s marked.
STEP 7: Click on the refresh button and click on the blue button by its left to select the WordPress standard.
STEP 8: Click Apply and OK to save.
Now your codes will be inspected by PHP CodeSniffer with the selected WordPress coding standard or any other coding standard you selected.
