Last year (2014), an ex-classmate added me as an advertiser on the official Facebook page of the secondary school I attended, Nesto College . It was fun at first, but when it got to a stage; it became really annoying that I could break the legs of the person that added me as an advertiser on the page, ‘cos I was getting so much of notifications that are absolutely not a single business of mine. Since the classmate was not able to remove me as an advertiser on the page due to the fact that the Facebook account he used to be an admin on the page with got blocked, and I had to figure out a way to do it myself without the help of any admin on the page.
To remove yourself from being an admin/advertiser/editor etc on a Facebook page you do not own, just make sure you login to Facebook on a desktop browser, go to Edit Settings , then click on Page role . Locate yourself here and click on the cancel icon (x) after your name, on the right, and then click on Save . You’d be asked to re-enter your password, enter your Facebook account password and then click on Remove to confirm . That’s all. No more disturbance
But if you wish to remain an advertiser/admin/editor etc on the page, but you do not want to receive notification messages anymore; Go to Edit Settings , click on Notifications . Here, mark the checkboxes according to the notification messages you wish to continue receiving, or unmark all if you want none and Save the settings
Just in case you need to remove yourself from being an admin/advertiser etc on the page, but you don’t have access to the internet on your computer or you can’t get a PC to help you out, just Click here ( http://facebook.com/home.php?m2w ) to force your mobile to display the desktop version of facebook.
